Dave and Colleen: I loved the pictures of Elizabeth, Katie and Danielle. Danielle has changed so much in 8 weeks since I saw her last. I am so glad that you drove out with the children on my last day in New Jersey. I miss everyone so much.
I have made some nice friends out here and enjoy the members of the ward. The man I have been dating has taken me to several canyons and to watch the leaves change over the last six weeks. His family has a place in Blacksmith Fork Canyon, and his place is right on the river. I enjoy watching the trout swimming in the clear water there. Last week we hiked up part of the mountain across the road from his place. I thought it was a little scary given the fact that there are rattlesnakes up there. We have seen a moose, but no elk or deer.
Last night a ward family invited Neal and I to dinner. We had such a good time. The food was excellent. Most people grow a garden in their yards out here, so the food is fresh and people share what they have.
My friends from New Jersey call regularly and keep me updated with the news. I email my former neighbor and find out what is happening with the neighbors in Whiting.
I have been told that I am very fortunate to have moved here when I did as the weather is usually quite cold by now. It has stayed in the 60's and 70's since I got here. The nights are cold, but the days warm right up. Thirty degrees here is much different than thirty degrees in New Jersey. You barely need a coat, especially if the sun is out. Being higher in altitude and closer to the sun makes a difference.
I don't have a Church calling yet, which is a little concerning, but I was warned by some in NJ that this might be the case. They actually have shared callings out here. I guess I should count my blessings. Yesterday was the Primary Presentation. I have never seen so many children in one ward. Neal and I attended the one at Nibley 6th and then his other grandchildrens' at Hyrum.
Keep posting pictures and information on your blog. I love all that is put on.
